The 6 steps
- Open polymarket.com. Click Sign Up. Choose email (easiest — creates a managed Polygon wallet for you) or connect MetaMask / Coinbase Wallet.
- Verify your account. US users complete a quick KYC for the CFTC-regulated QCX entity. Driver's license or passport.
- Fund with USDC. Three options: buy USDC with debit via Moonpay (fastest), transfer USDC from Coinbase to your Polygon address (cheapest), or bridge from Ethereum mainnet.
- Pick a market. Browse Politics, Sports, Crypto, Pop Culture. Each market shows live YES/NO prices in cents, plus depth and 24h volume.
- Buy YES or NO. Enter share quantity. Polymarket shows total USDC cost, gas estimate, and fill price. Confirm in your wallet (one click for email signups).
- Withdraw. Sell out of positions or wait for resolution. USDC settles to your wallet instantly; off-ramp via Coinbase (1–3 days to bank) or Moonpay (instant to debit card).

Your first trade — example
Say it's an NFL Sunday and Polymarket lists "Will the Cowboys win this week?" at 45¢ YES. You like the Cowboys. Buy 50 YES shares at 45¢ = $22.50 USDC + ~$0.02 gas.
