What ProphetX actually is

ProphetX is a sports prediction market. You trade Yes/No event contracts on games with other traders, and the contract settles at $1.00 or $0.00 once the result is official. The CFTC licensed ProphetX to run and clear its own exchange in 2026, which is why it now operates in 49 states plus D.C.

The important part for Texans: this is a federally regulated derivatives venue, not a sportsbook and not a sweepstakes app. That is the same legal footing Kalshi and Polymarket stand on.
