Texas plays Texas A&M on Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving, in the regular-season SEC finale. The 2026 edition is at Kyle Field in College Station. It is the most-traded college football game in the state and the single biggest CFP-seeding swing on the Texas calendar.

Where to trade the Lone Star Showdown

Texas has no legal sportsbooks. What Texans can do is trade the game as a CFTC-regulated event contract. Kalshi lists a Yes/No winner market for marquee college football games, and liquidity on this one builds through rivalry week. Polymarket carries the CFP and conference-level contracts the result feeds into.

Game winner

Yes/No on each side, priced 1¢–99¢. Deepest liquidity in the final 72 hours before kickoff.

CFP knock-on

Playoff and national-title contracts reprice instantly on the result. See CFP odds.

How the pricing works

A contract price is the market's implied probability. If Texas A&M trades at 58¢, the market gives the Aggies a 58% chance. Buy 100 shares for $58; if A&M wins, they settle at $1.00 each for $100 gross. There is no vig baked into a line — you pay a small per-trade fee instead, which is why implied odds on an exchange sit closer to fair than a sportsbook future. Details in our Kalshi fees breakdown.

Dates to trade around

  • Aug 29, 2026 — Season openers. Preseason win-total contracts settle their first data points.
  • Early November — First CFP committee rankings. Biggest single repricing event of the fall.
  • Nov 27 — Texas at Texas A&M. Game-winner market closes at kickoff.
  • Dec 5 — SEC Championship. Determines whether a rivalry loss is survivable.
  • Jan 2027 — CFP National Championship settles all title contracts.

Is this legal in Texas?

Yes. Kalshi is a CFTC-designated contract market, and its sports event contracts are federal derivatives rather than state-licensed sports wagering. That is a different legal category from DraftKings or FanDuel, which remain unavailable in Texas.
