Step 1 — Portfolio → Withdraw
Open the Kalshi app or kalshi.com. Tap Portfolio in the bottom nav, then Withdraw. Your available cash balance is shown at the top — that's what you can pull out today.
Step 2 — Choose your bank
Select the US bank account you linked when you signed up. If none is linked, add one via Plaid — the flow takes about 30 seconds and Kalshi supports every major US bank plus most credit unions.
Step 3 — Enter the amount
Type the amount you want to withdraw. Standard retail accounts have no minimum and no maximum. Money still tied up in open positions or pending settlement isn't withdrawable until those contracts close.
Step 4 — Confirm
Tap Confirm. Kalshi initiates the ACH transfer immediately. First-time withdrawals can take a day longer while the bank link finishes verifying — after that, expect 1–3 business days consistently.
Step 5 — Track it
Portfolio → Activity shows every withdrawal with a status (Pending, Processing, Completed). If it stalls past 3 business days, screenshot the entry and email support@kalshi.com — they usually clear stuck transfers within a business day.
If your withdrawal is stuck
Three common causes, in order of frequency:
- Cash still tied up in positions. Sell open contracts or wait for resolution — that money isn't available yet.
- Bank link needs re-verification. Plaid re-verifies periodically; re-link the account.
- KYC step missing. New accounts must complete SSN + photo ID before the first withdrawal. Federal requirement, not optional.
